RED OAK LEAVES
I had a hard time deciding which photo to post...so I'll attach the uncropped version too. The cool thing is that I played with some filters to try to make this image different than just pretty fall leaves. If it is blown up larger than what you can see on Smugmug, the bg has lines in it that make it look like it's on a canvas. I used the angle filter to achieve that, but had kept the foreground leaves lassoed so that only the bg changed. Cross-hatch worked nicely for that effect too...what fun! So here is the link to the uncropped version..seriously, I would love to know which looks better. Cropping is a real art and I am trying to improve my eye for it...thanks
Thanks once again for yesterday's comments. Mike is home, looking great, but now has the FLU!! So I am a little freer to post some photos since errands are now on the back burner. Your thoughtful words meant a lot to all of us, and my heart goes out to all of you who have family members and friends overseas. Special thoughts go to Pearl who's nephew left for Afghanistan two weeks ago.
