One of my favorite birds! Great photo!
Hi Vandana, I don't understand your message..."m" or "L"? Guess I don't know all the lingo yet. If you are wanting an answer..please write back and explain it for me, ok? I took the picture...if that's what you're asking :-)

Beautiful shot! I don't know how you guys do this! I'm ready to put a fake bird in a tree and take a shot, so don't be surprised to see it in the daily photos. ;)

Very clear and sharp! I just got my new XTi and the 70-300IS I am amazed with the whole setup but still can't get the supper sharp pics. Practice, practice, practice.

Very nice shot good eye and detail. I think the shot might have been even stronger if the blured limb in the back was cloned out. Just a thought.
No the 300 isn't super quick which is why I prefer the 200 or 400 for action, but it does a pretty good job.
Yeah, I thought so! I have to really wrench myself away from using it, even when I know it isn't appropriate to the situation (such as indoors and close-up). It's just such a fun lens . . . it makes me feel like I know what I'm doing! I'm still struggling with more action shots with it. I turn the IS off but it's still not super quick with the automatic focus on.

Very nice Kim! What a cute lil' guy! I recently picked up a 300 IS, too. It is amazingly "light", isn't it? I think I'm going to enjoy it when I get more time to use it. Still not long enough, though!
Hey Andrea, you can say that again...I am just beginning to appreciate the 300 (IS)! It's so much easier for me to use than the 100-400 IS...even with the 1.4 attached! I am back to enjoying hand holding the camera again! :-) BTW, this shot was through a semi dirty window....speaks volumes about the lens don't you think!
Super -- all the shades of grey and the wonderful sharpness. Are you loving the 300mm?
