FIRST DAY OF FREEDOM
This little girl was born last August and came to me as an eyes closed 3 week old orphan. She and her 3 sisters spent the winter at my home-based wildlife center (for those who don't know, I have a license from the State of Ohio to rehabilitate orphaned squirrels and then release them when they are old enough to survive on their own.) Yesterday, the girls ventured out into the world, exploring the smells of the flowers up close and personal, climbing REAL trees, and seeing the world from new heights. Her favorite spot to observe this new freedom was from my magnolia tree.
I apologize for being absent these past few weeks. Looks like my postings will be spotty until after the wedding in June. Monday I leave for Canada for 6 days...tonight I am giving a talk on Southern Flying Squirrels...so I am up to my neck in distractions and lack of quality photo fun time. I'm still shooting...but not doing much with postings right now...BUT I'LL BE BACK!! I miss the daily blogs and photos. (I do check on your postings though...but often don't have the hour to devote to comments.)
I do want to share with you that I spent last weekend hosting and listening to RICK SAMMON. Oh my, what I learned in just a few minutes about CS2 and 3!!! I purchased his interactive CDs and discovered what wonderful things one can do (easily I might add) with Photoshop when you understand what you're doing!!!!!! I hope to digest this material and start using some of the new techniques soon! (I have a picture somewhere with him that we took just before his last talk...what a thrill it was for Bob and me to have spent time with him!)
