FALL SPLENDER

Finally! A little time to go out and shoot some Fall scenes. Hi All...I'm back from Monterey, CA .All lthe trip photos are edited and ready to be burned to a DVD for the group we went with (my husband and another naturalist lead the birding excursion out there). All those who wanted to contribute photos for the trip pictures and mine were put together to music in iDVD and we'll see them at our pot luck next month. So I have been stuck at my computer for the last two weeks sorting through about 1500 images total!
This is a scene from the Cleveland Metroparks, South Chagrin Reservation. It was a glorious weekend and it felt good to be out once again with camera in hand.

ROCK HALL OF FAME

This is the north side of the Rock Hall as seen from the upper deck of a tour boat. (Personal watercraft can come in and dock here as well.)

NATURE'S VELCRO

Meet Common Burdock where the velcro inventors got their idea (and their millions). Dogs, cats and photographers alike curse the day they walked too close to this common field dweller.

MAPLE FLOWERS AT MOON RISE

This is one of my "almost" shots. I think by the time I discovered the moon and the composition possibilities, it was too dark...any suggestions on how to improve this so that the branches are in better focus? I had to manual focus because it was hard to get the auto to stay on the branch. I am anxious to try this again, weather and moon permitting... plus,I had so much fun getting a crick in my neck lining this up!! LOL

I had to manual focus because it was hard to get the auto to stay on the branch. I took some with the 1.4 tc and although the moon was larger, the close focus was very soft. ...I really want to try this again... plus,I had so much fun getting a crick in my neck lining this up!! Mom4squirrels > Revised queen anne's lace...don't know what the circles are...looks like lens shadow to me, oddly. I didn't erase with the healing tool...
