Hello,
My real name is Kim ...but I am a "Mom" for squirrels.
I live in Northeastern Ohio, in a suburb of Cleveland. I am an amateur photographer...it is a hobby that I love and am eager to learn much more about! I am also a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. I only rehabilitate squirrels (southern flying squirrels are my specialty.) What that means is that I take in orphaned and injured squirrels (mostly orphaned) and raise them until they are able to return to the wild. Baby squirrels take a lot of work and special training but it is worth it in the end when you see those bushy tails disappear up in the branches of a tree where their lives began.
My husband, Bob and I are also birders and enjoy canoeing. On vacation I sometimes look like a two-legged pack mule with my binoculars around my neck, and all my photo gear over my shoulder and in my hands! Birding and photography are a great mix, but the dilemma comes when I have to decide bins or lens! Ahh, such a wonderful conflict.
